Dexamethasone Injection Veterinary Medicine is an Injection Veterinary Medicine For Animal.It's used to treat severe allergic reactions. It is used in the management of certain types of edema (fluid retention and swelling; excess fluid held in body tissues,) gastrointestinal disease, and certain types of arthritis. Dexamethasone injection is also used for diagnostic testing.

It is sometimes used in combination with other medications to treat symptoms of low corticosteroid levels (lack of certain substances that are usually produced by the body and are needed for normal body functioning) and in the management of certain types of shock.

DESCRIPTION:
The product is colorless clear liquid.
PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION:
This Injection Veterinary Medicine is similar as hydrocortisone in function , but it has a strong effect than hydrocortisone, and it has little side effect and can last for a long time . Anti-inflammatory action and gluconeogenesis are 25 times of hydrocortisone, and it has a strong inhibiting effect on pituitary- adrenal gland .
Intramuscular injection. Dog can indicate general action, and blood concentration can reach peak value after half hour , and half life period is 48 hours . And it is excreted mainly in the faeces and urine.
This Injection Veterinary Medicine can for pregnant females’ parturition, and it can increase female hormone and decrease progesterone.

INDICATIONS:
Glucocorticosteroid hormones drugs. It has strong pharmacological action and physiological action. It is mainly for inflammatory and hypersensitivity diseases ; cattles’ ketonemia and sheep’s toxemia of pregnancy.
ADIMINISTRATION & DOSAGE :
1 Intramuscular and intravenous injection.
For daily dose:
Pig ------- 1—2ml ; Horse ---- 0.5—1 ml
Cattle---- 1—5 ml ; Cat, Dog ----0.1—0.25ml
2 Intra-articular capsule injection .
Horse, Cattle :0.5—2.5ml
ADVERSE REACTION:
1 It has strong water-sodium retention and potassium-removing action .
2 It has strong immunosuppressive action.
3 It may cause abortion when using in latter half of gestation .
PRECAUTIONS:
1 No abusing.
2 It should use with large doses antibacterial drugs when treating with infectious diseases.
3 It mustn’t used in domestic animals’ rickets, fracture and Vaccine inoculation period .
4 It mustn’t used in pregnant females’ first trimester and latter half of gestation .

Cattle , Sheep ,Pig : 21days Milky : 72 hours
